I grew up in New Orleans and was trained as a classical musician. After receiving a bachelor's degree in piano performance from Rice University, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my doctorate. However, I decided to enjoy music as a hobby rather than as a profession and chose to get a master's degree in the field of counseling and psychotherapy instead.
Originally licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 1995, I have maintained a private practice ever since, and am grateful to have had the opportunity to help many fascinating people over the years.
On the personal side, I love languages, music, art, literature, science - a lot of things fascinate me really. And I consider myself very lucky to have a loving husband and two extraordinary dogs.
